December movie nights
December is the easiest month of the year for a movie night. The sun sets early, so the movie starts about 5:45 PM and wraps by 8 PM — a whole holiday night, done before bedtime.
Make it a holiday movie night: a Polar Express–style pajama night, a Grinch night, or your family’s favorite Christmas movie on a 16-foot screen.

HOA, church and school movie nights
Planning a movie night for your neighborhood, church, school or apartment community? We set up about 90 minutes before showtime, stay on site to run the movie, and tear everything down after. It works well for up to about 75 guests.
$395Founding rate through December 31, 2026 (regular price $495 from January 2027) — we stay on site and run the movie for HOAs, schools, churches, and communities.
Showing a movie to a group like this needs a public performance license, usually through Swank. The host gets it, and the cost depends on the title. We’re happy to walk you through it and help pick one.

One screen, one booking per night. When your date is booked, it’s gone.
Weather promise: if we have to cancel for weather before setup, you choose a full deposit refund or a free reschedule.
Common questions
How far in advance should I book?
Two weeks is ideal, especially for weekends. But text me — I can often fit in a same-week date.
How do I pay?
A $112 deposit holds your date. The remaining $113 is due on setup day.
What if I need to cancel?
Cancel 7 or more days before your date and you get your deposit back in full. Closer than that, it becomes a credit toward another date. The details are in our rental terms.
What happens if it rains or gets windy?
Inflatable screens aren’t safe in high wind or rain. If I have to cancel for weather, you get a full refund or we reschedule at no charge. We watch the forecast for every event and make the weather call no later than 3 hours before our scheduled arrival.
How long does setup take?
About 45 minutes — there’s a sped-up video of a full setup further up this page. I arrive 90 minutes before showtime so everything’s tested well before your guests get there. If your party starts earlier and you’d rather have it done and out of the way, early setup up to 3 hours ahead is $40.
What can we watch?
Anything you want. You sign into your own Netflix, Disney+, Hulu or whatever you use on my streaming stick. Bring a console and play on the big screen if you’d rather.
What about a movie license?
Backyard showings with your own streaming account need no license. For public or community events, a movie license may be required; the host obtains it at cost and we will walk you through it.
What if my backyard is small?
Text me roughly how deep your yard is. I need about 30 feet from the screen back to place the projector. If it’s tight, we can usually find a way to make it work.
Do I need to be home?
Yes — an adult needs to be on site for setup and for the rest of the night.
How far do you travel?
Delivery and setup included within 20 miles of Surprise. 20 to 40 miles: $40 travel fee. Beyond 40 miles: ask for a quote.
